The one star review given by "A Customer" is simply wrong. When you swipe your credit card, it is probably checked using a neural network. There is a good chance your power company forecasts how much power it needs tomorrow using a neural network. A simple neural network was even used on the Concord. There was a lot of hype about neural networks in the 1990's, but their application has found traction in a number of areas.

Artificial neural networks itself has yet to become too promising a topic in engineering sciences after years/decades of effort. Trying to cook ANN into high-speed circuit modelling isn't too bright an idea, either.
